It’s been a great week of training the student paramedics at the University of Stirling on the topic of moving and handling people/patients.
The programme delivered by Paul Jonathan Meek Chartered FCIPD was designed as a blended learning solution, whereby the students completed our sector bespoke online moving and handling theory course (Moving People), followed by a tutor-led one-day practical skills and techniques training session.
The feedback from the students has been great, with most of them expressing that they particularly enjoyed the problem-solving film clips from the online course. They felt that the clips prepared and introduced them to the challenges of moving and handling within a pre-hospital setting.
All 80 delegates that attended the course achieved the QNUK Awards – Level 2 Qualification in Moving People Safely which is on the regulated qualifications framework.
