Solutions Training & Advisory Ltd have just run a five day Level 3 accredited Moving and Handling trainers programme hosted by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The picture shows delegates from the Independent sector as well as the public sector all committed to making sure that all those moved and handled by council or Independent sector staff are done so in a safe, dignified and comfortable manner.
The “ People Moving People” trainers course teaches staff to instruct people in safer moving and handling techniques and how to conduct formal manual handling risk assessments. In addition they take away outstandingly good, educationally rigorous training materials and reference books plus one year’s free support from the Solutions team. A great example of the private and public sectors working for the greater good. Solutions also provide e learning for thousands of staff working in Barnsley in respect of moving and handling of people and manual handling of inanimate loads. Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council have enjoyed an enviable relationship for 23 years.

Solutions Training and Advisory offer both instructor led train the trainer courses for moving and handling of people as well as moving and handling of objects. E-learning courses are also available, and currently the entire Welsh Ambulance service train their paramedics using Solutions Training e-learning software titled Backs For The Future.
