We have been delivering tailored training to this sector since 1994 and consider ourselves to be strong advocates in ensuring all children, able-bodied or not have the same opportunities and are included in daily school activities – inclusion is our aim!
We support schools nationwide with varied training, ranging from train the trainer and trainer update programmes, face to face practical training, however of late we tend to be approached to deliver bespoke video conferencing skills training, normally consisting of hoist training, toileting handling, and transferring the child to and from wheelchairs and floors etc (competitive and tailored training). The video training is accompanied by your staff completing our online theory course before the practical training, this method of delivery is greatly received as it doesn’t take staff out of teaching for lengthy sessions and is 100% focused on your needs and areas of risk.
Our online moving & handling theory course (people moving people) is fully bespoke to the tasks school staff face within their roles. The course takes around 1.5 hours to complete at the learner’s pace and ease, it is £14.95 an annual licence and significantly reduces the level of face-to-face training required due to the level of theory it teaches.
It is used by Schools Nationwide. Being an annual licence, it is great value for money as you can ask staff to take the initial full training and at any point in the 12 months you can ask them to retake the assessment only option (re-certifying them for another 12 months), this ensures that staff have retained the initial information learned and is great for compliance and due diligence.
