All sectors and staff that work in environments with potential stroke patients – Staff that want to learn the skills to allow them to accurately diagnose a stroke and reduce the level of mortality and morbidity in stroke patients.

About the course:
Traditional Stroke Training (the FAST test) can miss up to 20% of strokes. Our ASLS training reduces the risk of that happening by teaching its learners how to conduct the MEND (Miami Emergency Neurological Deficit) prehospital assessment confidently and correctly. This is typically conducted after the FAST test and reduces the chances of missing a stroke.

Our course is offered under licence from the University of Miami, and the NHS. The certification is endorsed by the UK Stroke Forum and the University of Miami.

Replacing two days of equivalent classroom-based learning, the course provides robust, comprehensive, educationally endorsed knowledge on emergency stroke care management in a cost-effective way. The cost is £33.33 per licence.

The modules feature clinicians in videos, graphics, stills, animations, and other learning interactions to engage all learning styles. We understand not every individual absorbs information in the same way.

Certification:
On successful completion of this programme participants will receive a Solutions certificate of completion.
